Pancreatic Calculi (Pancreatic Stones)

Pancreatic Calculi (Pancreatic Stones)

Pancreatic stones (calculi) are calcium carbonate deposits that form within the pancreatic ducts. They are most commonly associated with Chronic Calcific Pancreatitis, often resulting from long-term alcohol consumption, malnutrition, or metabolic disorders. These stones obstruct the flow of digestive enzymes, leading to inflammation and impaired organ function.

Key Clinical Features:

🔱 Epigastric Pain: Severe, boring, or stabbing pain in the upper abdomen that often radiates straight through to the back.

🔱 Steatorrhea: Foul-smelling, oily stools due to the lack of lipase enzymes.

🔱 Weight Loss: Caused by malabsorption and fear of eating (as food often triggers pain).

🔱 Diabetes Mellitus: Occurs in advanced stages when the endocrine part of the pancreas is damaged.

Homoeopathic Management:

🍶 Phosphorus: The leading remedy for pancreatic diseases. Indicated when there is fatty degeneration, oily stools, and a craving for cold drinks despite a cold stomach.

🍶 Iris Versicolor: Specifically addresses "Pancreatic Salivation." Excellent for burning pain in the pancreas with sour, watery vomiting and a frequent urge for stool.

🍶 Iodum: Indicated for rapid emaciation despite a great appetite. The patient feels better while eating but suffers from heavy, pressive pains in the pancreatic region.

🍶 Conium Maculatum: Useful when the stones lead to hardening (induration) of the gland. Pain is often worse at night.

🍶. Pancreatinum : Often used as a physiological support to aid digestion and manage the deficiency caused by ductal obstruction.

Pancreatic stones may require surgical intervention if they cause complete obstruction; always consult a medical professional- Homoeopathy Physician and get medicine. Donot do Self Medication.
